Kirk Yamaguchi

Kirk Yamaguchi is a native of Colorado and is a third generation Japanese American. Kirk has an MA in Counseling through Denver Seminary. He and his wife, Jane, served as Vineyard pastors for 25 years through church planting and leading a large church in Colorado. Now he is serving as Pastor Emeritus, is a trained Spiritual Director and Supervisor, and serves as a Mentor for the pastors of Color through the Vineyard. Through the practice of Spiritual direction, he loves being a witness of seeing and hearing how the Holy Spirit is moving in the directee. He has done a lot of work learning about AAPI issues through various cohorts. He loves to golf, fish and hike, and spend time with his 4 adult children, 5 grandchildren and his wife of 40 years.

Jenny Chau

Jenny Chau’s journey began on the tropical island of Taiwan. At the age of 12, she emigrated to Brooklyn, New York. She strove for success and fulfillment in corporate America. God helped her surrender her life as an offering because of His deep love. For more than two decades, Jenny has been privileged to serve with Cru, a large interdenominational Christian parachurch organization largely focused on college campus ministry. She is delighted to be a companion on your spiritual path—listening to your heart’s desires, walking through transitions together, and noticing the beauty of God’s finger prints in your daily life. She lives in Orlando with her husband Joe, their four kids, two sweet bunnies, and a garden full of fruit trees.

Joyce Koo Dalrymple

Joyce Koo Dalrymple is an author, speaker, podcast host, and spiritual director. She is the Director of the Center for Women in Ministry at Northern Seminary and the Chief of Content and Engagement at Khora Collective. She also founded Refuge for Strength, a ministry focused on spiritual formation and holy listening practices. Her spiritual direction practice focuses on helping women grow in intimacy with God, confidence in God’s calling, discerning God’s work in their lives, and healing from church hurt. 

Her books include Women in the New Testament, Jesus’ Passion Week, Parables of Grace, and Redeeming Eden. Her podcasts include Adopting Hope and Women on the Pause. She holds a BA from Stanford University, JD from Boston College, and MDiv from Metro Atlanta Seminary. Joyce enjoys traveling with her family, exploring nature trails with her dog, and having coffee with friends. She and her husband, Tim, live in Philadelphia with their 3 daughters.

Vivian Soo

Vivian Soo is a Christian AAPI spiritual director whose heart is to companion with others as they discern God's voice and notice His presence in the midst of everyday life. She offers a contemplative and welcoming space where individuals can bring their honest questions, attend to their spiritual journey, and explore the invitations God may be extending to them. Through prayer, reflective listening, and the practice of spiritual direction, Vivian seeks to help others deepen their awareness of God's work in their lives.

Vivian received her spiritual direction training through a two-year Sustainable Faith cohort focused on the spiritual formation of Asian Americans. She is especially passionate about accompanying women navigating singlehood or career-focused paths, women in ministry, married women seeking renewal, young adults discerning college or vocational callings, and individuals living with chronic illness. She offers spiritual direction online and in person in the Bay Area.

Dennis Liu

Dennis Liu is a spiritual director with a deep heart for the inner life, particularly for those navigating the intersections of faith, identity, vocation, and calling. Born and raised in New Jersey to parents from Hong Kong, he studied Economics and Computer Science at Cornell University before spending more than twenty years in pastoral ministry within Asian American church contexts. He also helped pioneer the AAPI Association within the Vineyard movement, fostering connection and spiritual formation among leaders across a national network of churches. More recently, he has been developing businesses in personal finance, web design, and college application coaching.  

Dennis is especially passionate about accompanying pastors, ministry leaders, and professionals as they seek greater clarity, freedom, and attentiveness to God amid the demands of everyday life. His approach to spiritual direction is marked by gentleness, discernment, and a desire to create space where people can slow down, listen deeply, and encounter God in a meaningful way.

Jane Yamaguchi

Jane Yamaguchi has been married 41 years, has 4 grown children (2 adopted internationally), 2 daughter in laws, 5 grandchildren and a mini goldendoodle. She loves the outdoors—biking, hiking, gardening, and XC skiing. She was trained through Sustainable Faith as a spiritual director, supervisor and teacher. She and her husband Kirk pastored two Vineyard churches in Colorado for over 25 years and spent many years walking alongside and mentoring many people through life transitions, ministry, and balancing family life. Jane is also certified through the Vineyard Coaching network helping pastors and boards navigate finances. After working as a CPA for 20 years, navigating the world of adoption, pastoring for 25 years, and being a 1 on the Enneagram, she’s been on a long journey to slow down and loves to companion others on their life journey.

Matthew Young

Matthew Young is an Asian American, Spirit-filled spiritual director who is passionate about helping others attune to God's presence, power, and intimacy in the midst of everyday life. He believes spiritual direction offers a sacred space to slow down, listen deeply, and notice God's activity within one's story. Through prayerful conversation and attentive listening, Matthew helps individuals explore hidden heart narratives, recognize God's invitations to freedom, and discern how their faith, identity, and life experiences are being woven into God's larger story. He has a particular desire to support those in the AAPI community as they seek to encounter God in all aspects of life, including their ethnicity and cultural experiences.

Matthew received his spiritual direction training through Sustainable Faith, with an emphasis on Asian American theology and spiritual formation. He has served in leadership, small group ministry, and prayer ministry at Palo Alto Vineyard Church for more than fifteen years and is connected with the Asian American and Pacific Islander Association within Vineyard USA. A former civil engineer, Matthew now owns a small business in scale model train product development. He offers spiritual direction in English and meets with directees online.
